According to the laws of the Russian Federation, one must have good reasons for dismissal from military service. But if desired and if certain conditions exist, even a lieutenant who has recently entered the service can leave the army.

Step 1
Find out on what basis you can leave the service before the end of your contract. Your personal desire is not enough, you need to have some good reason. In the law on military service, they include, for example, the need to care for disabled family members - children, disabled people. Also, those military personnel whose salaries do not cover the minimum expenses of their families can quit. To leave the service on this basis, the income of a military man must not exceed the subsistence minimum for each family member. Also, the reason for dismissal can be illness, partial or complete disability, and for a woman - pregnancy.
Step 2
Make a report to the name of your commander. In it, indicate the reason for the dismissal, as well as information about whether you are already provided with service housing. For a significant number of lieutenants, the answer will be no. Give it directly to your boss or his deputy. Make sure that your appeal is registered.
Step 3
Wait for the results of your case. It will be submitted to an attestation commission to assess the eligibility of your report. At this stage, a lot will depend on the characteristics of the commander. Therefore, after submitting the report, discuss the situation with him. Try to convince him that you need to quit.
Step 4
Upon approval of your decision by the commission and the commander, you will receive an extract from the information about the meeting of the commission, in which your dismissal will be confirmed. You will also be given a cash withdrawal benefit.
Step 5
If you have been denied the right to terminate the contract, go to court. If your reasons are recognized as valid, you can still leave military service ahead of schedule.
