This is especially true if you need to make an advance payment to the account of a new business partner. You can make such a check on the website of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation.

Step 1
You can check whether the organization you are interested in is included in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities by its official name or OGRN / GRN / TIN. Therefore, find out, first of all, at least one of these data. More accurate and faster is the search for a company by the parameter "PSRN / GRN / INN", since there can be several organizations with the same name, and when checking by this parameter, the system can return a whole list of legal entities.
Step 2
If you only know the name of the company, try also to find out its legal address, the date of registration and in which subject of the Russian Federation it was registered. This information will help you to clarify your request on the website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, which means to make the search results more accurate.
Step 3
Go to the page of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation. In the "Electronic services" section, select "Check yourself and your counterparty". If necessary, read the rules for finding a company by clicking on the appropriate link.
Step 4
Enter the details of the organization that you have in the appropriate fields. When filling in the "Name" field, indicate only the original part of the company name, without specifying its organizational and legal form. Type the name without special characters, quotation marks and abbreviations. For example: Citibank, Avocado, etc.
Step 5
If you know the region in which the company was registered, indicate it in the "Subject of the Russian Federation" field by selecting the necessary one from the drop-down list. When filling in the date of registration of a legal entity, use the format DD. MM. YYYY. Then enter the verification code offered by the system and click "Search".
Step 6
If the specified legal entity has passed state registration, the search results indicate its name, address, PSRN, GRN, TIN, KPP, the date of the entry in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the name of the registering authority that made the entry, and the address of the registering authority.
