There are two models that can help you determine what you really want out of life, while also helping you cope with your fear of change. They differ from each other in principle.
A terrible question for many: "What do I want?" - sometimes makes you feel like a paralytic, not knowing and unable to act as it should. It is common for a person to expect help from outside: we all secretly hope that someone else will tell us how to be. Responsibility is often shifted to God, society, family, but not everyone is able to decide for himself what he really needs.
Even if your goal is rather vague, it is still a good beacon for determining at least some meaning in life. You should ask two additional questions that will allow you to consider alternatives and choose the best one:
- What resources do I have?
- What can be achieved with these resources?
Causation
For the most part, ordinary people resort to just this approach. The essence of the approach:
- choose a target,
- clarify the purpose,
- search for resources to achieve the goal.
Effects
Unlike the previous approach, this model is typical for most successful people. The essence of the approach:
- choose a target,
- search for resources to achieve the goal,
- clarify the purpose.
After three months, revise your goal and make adjustments again. After making your changes, start the effect cycle over again.
