Our state is trying to maintain the birth rate of children by introducing various monetary compensation for pregnancy and childcare. These payments include: maternity allowance - payment of sick leave for 140 days in the normal course of childbirth; one-time childbirth allowance - issued from the moment the baby is born, but no later than 6 months; allowance for caring for a child up to one and a half years old - to privileged categories of citizens up to 3 years old; as well as an allowance for registration in the early stages of pregnancy. Some local authorities introduce additional payments and benefits to support young families - in Moscow there is a "Luzhkov payment", which for 2014 for the first child is 61,000 rubles, for the second - 85,400 rubles.
Step 2
If a pregnant woman works, then she receives all possible benefits in an amount depending on her official salary. Currently, the calculation of maternity benefits is similar to the calculation of a regular sick leave, taking into account the average income for 2 years. This allowance itself is compensation for a forced sick leave for a working woman.
Step 3
If a woman is unemployed at the time of her pregnancy, then she will not receive maternity benefits, because she has no sick leave. The exception is full-time students, regardless of whether they are paid or free; women dismissed in connection with the liquidation of the company, but not more than a year from that moment; individual entrepreneurs who paid taxes, etc. You can also not work anywhere officially, but make regular tax deductions from your income, in which case the social security authorities will make a request upon your request, and, based on this, your maternity benefit amount will be calculated.
Step 4
If a pregnant woman is at the labor and employment exchange and receives unemployment benefits, she is deprived of these benefits for a period of 30 weeks. At the end of the hospital payment, she can resume her payments if she so wishes. In this case, you have to choose between unemployment benefits and child care benefits. You just need to take into account that unemployment payments are also limited, and over time, their amount decreases. The allowance for caring for a child up to one and a half years for unemployed women is 2,578 rubles for the first child and 5,153 rubles for the second.
Step 5
If you have work experience, but you quit some time before pregnancy, you can try to find a new job in the initial stages. The main thing is that you have worked there for at least six months before the decree. The benefit is calculated for 2 calendar years, while you choose which years will be counted.
