More and more often, Russians prefer to rest not at home, but abroad. But even to travel to countries that have made it as easy as possible for Russians to obtain visas or have completely abolished them, a citizen needs a special document proving his identity outside the Russian Federation - a passport. And to get it, you need to write an appropriate application. How can this be done?

Instructions
Step 1
Receive an application form. This can be done during a personal visit to the branch of the Federal Migration Service (FMS) at the place of residence. In this case, you can go to the employee without waiting in line and get two copies of the form from him. You can also download the form from the FMS website. To do this, from the main page of the resource go to the section "Registration of documents", from there to the heading "Registration of a foreign passport". At the bottom of the page, you will find links to various application forms - for obtaining a "new generation" passport (valid for ten years), for an old-style passport for five years and a special form for processing documents for a child. Select the type of document you need and print it in duplicate.
Step 2
Start filling out the application. When filling out an application for a new type of passport, indicate your last name, first name and patronymic, date and place of birth, gender, registration address and citizenship. Also write down the purpose of obtaining a passport - tourism, business travel, departure abroad for permanent residence. Next, you will be required to fill in the details of your civil passport, as well as answer questions about whether you have circumstances that restrict you from traveling abroad - access to classified information, the obligation to undergo military service, and so on. In the table, list all the places where you worked or studied in the last ten years, with your positions and addresses of organizations. Do not forget to put the date and signature at the bottom of the page.
Step 3
If you are filling out an old type passport application form, you must proceed in the same way. Additionally, you will need to stick a passport-sized photo on the application form, as well as fill out the section about children - indicate all your minor children so that they are entered in your passport.
In a special application for children, the reverse side of the application is filled out on behalf of the legal representative - one of the parents or guardian.
Step 4
Give the completed questionnaire to the personnel department of your institution or the dean's office of the educational institution. There it must be signed and stamped by the organization. An application for a passport for a minor does not need to be certified.
