Our educational system is choking with a lack of good teachers. Young specialists do not know how to work with schoolchildren, and experienced teachers are in crisis due to the lack of time for periodic retraining in connection with the constantly changing procedure for the implementation of educational activities. But, on the other hand, a teacher with a category is not only better versed in his subject, but also receives substantial bonuses to the traditionally meager wages. How do you get a category?
Instructions
Step 1
An application for recertification and assignment of a category to a teacher is submitted by the school administration. An application and a package of necessary documents are provided only to the regional Attestation Commission. If you work for no more than 2 years in this school or are on maternity leave, then a special schedule is set for you for passing the certification.
Step 2
All documents for certification and / or assignment of a qualification category are filled in by the employer. If you combine work in several educational institutions, then such documents can be drawn up and submitted to the commission by several employers at once. The package of documents (teacher's portfolio) usually includes:
- a certified copy of your work record book;
- a certified copy of your diploma of higher (or secondary vocational) education;
- characteristics from your place of work (or several), the results of educational and extracurricular activities;
- certificates of completion of the PDA and obtaining other types of education;
- information about the results of your previous certifications (copy).
Step 3
Please read the notice of your qualification at least one month before it starts and get information about the date, place, and time of the qualification test. Confirm the fact of acquaintance in writing.
Step 4
If you do not have a category or your 5-year term of validity of the previous category is coming to an end, then you can apply yourself to the regional Attestation Commission. You can apply only if at least 2 years have passed since the previous certification, or you have been working in the same place for at least 2 years.
Step 5
Attach a standard package of documents (portfolio) and a sheet with the results of previous attestations (if any) to the application. Fill out a new attestation sheet to the point indicated in the registration rules.
Step 6
Please note that no later than one month later you will need to receive a notification, certified by the commission members, of the date, place and time of the certification test.
Step 7
The test takes place at a meeting of the commission in the form of an examination of the teacher's professional achievements. If you would like to attend this meeting, please indicate this on your Category Application.
Step 8
Based on the results of the test, a decision is made on the assignment or refusal to assign a category. The original of the attestation sheet with the test results is sent to the employer.
Step 9
If you already have the "first" category, but you were denied the assignment to the "highest", then the effect of the "first" is preserved until the specified time.
Step 10
You can appeal the decision of the Attestation Commission. Contact your regional education department, labor dispute committee, or court. If you decide to go to court, then the application can be submitted within 3 months from the date of the decision by the commission.
