The modern working woman who is going on maternity leave needs to know what benefits she is entitled to. Some companies have their own view on this matter and set the size of payments to women who go on maternity leave themselves. In such cases, you just need to know what benefits are due to new mothers.
By law, maternity benefits are divided into the following main types.
1) Lump sum. Employed mothers registered in the first twelve weeks of pregnancy are paid a one-time allowance of 465.20 rubles. You can get it with a certificate of registration from housing and communal services.
2) Maternity allowance. This allowance can be received by either parent for each child born. Working mothers receive an allowance in the amount of 100% of the average earnings, respectively, at the place of work, subject to the presentation of a certificate from the registry office of the birth of a child and a certificate confirming that the other parent does not receive a similar allowance. Unemployed parents or full-time students should contact the social welfare authorities. Required documents: a certificate from the registry office, work books, diplomas, certificates for non-working parents, for students - a certificate of study indicating the year of graduation.
3) Lump sum for the birth of a child. This benefit is also required to be paid to one of the officially employed parents at the place of work. Required documents: a child's birth certificate, a certificate from the employment center confirming that the other parent is unemployed, or a certificate stating that the benefit is not issued to the other parent, a certificate from the registry office. If both parents are officially unemployed, the allowance is paid to the RUSZN. Required documents: work books with notes of dismissal, a child's birth certificate and a certificate from the registry office. Previously unemployed parents must present a high school diploma or higher education diploma.
4) Monthly allowance for a child of a military man. This allowance is due to the wife of a soldier during the period of service and until the child turns 3 years old.
