Even the most committed workaholic needs to be distracted from work from time to time. It is important to be able to do this both in the office and outside the office, because often work takes all thoughts, and therefore it is impossible to rest even in your free time.
Instructions
Step 1
Try to find five minutes for yourself and your needs about once every two hours during the working day. Your productivity will only increase from this, since it is very difficult to work without stopping for two or more hours: attention is scattered. By your needs you should understand everything that matters to you, i.e. chatting with friends by e-mail, reading news, coffee breaks with colleagues.
Step 2
Leave the office at lunchtime. If you go to business lunches in nearby cafes, then the problem has already been solved, since you are already leaving the office. But it so happens that employees bring food with them or eat in the office canteen. In this case, try to go outside for at least 15 minutes, especially in good weather. What you do - just walk or go to the store - does not matter. A change of scenery is important.
Step 3
Sometimes listening to music can help distract you at work. It is important to listen to it with headphones so that it does not disturb others. From time to time, you can take small pauses and listen to your favorite songs, or even work with them.
Step 4
Often, companies themselves create conditions for employees to have rest from time to time. This is, for example, a recreation room with a chessboard, a library, etc. Use them - it helps you to relax better than spending time on social networks. If there is nothing like this in your office, then, if possible, take the initiative and convince of the need for such an innovation.
Step 5
If your thoughts keep returning to work in the evening after the office, try to take the evening time with some interesting activity. After all, it's not for nothing that they say that the best rest is a change of occupation. You can sign up for a fitness club or try something new, like learning a foreign language or starting a driving school. You may need to force yourself to attend classes at first, but after a while you will feel the positive effects.
Step 6
Chat with friends and colleagues more often. Spending time with interesting and pleasant people will drive away worrying thoughts about work. Despite being busy, you can find an hour for communication almost every evening.
