Even the most diligent workers sometimes do not want to work harder and pursue a career. There is nothing surprising. People get tired, change priorities, and there are simply situations when their favorite job becomes a burden. But how can you force yourself to work harder if you don't feel like working for a long time?

Instructions

Step 1

Ask yourself: why exactly do I not want to work harder, because I have always loved to work? If you’re just tired, then things can work out if you can take a vacation. Sometimes this is enough. A change of environment, the ability to communicate more with loved ones gives strength in the future to work more and with greater efficiency.

Step 2

It's another matter if you suddenly realize that your work is no longer interesting to you. This can happen for two reasons: either in this workplace you are no longer developing, or you realized that what you are doing is simply not yours. In the first case, try changing jobs, at least walking around interviews. It is quite possible that quickly enough you will find for yourself a place that best suits your needs.

Step 3

If you are tired of a business that you have been doing for many years, think about working in a related field and, in the future, about changing your profession. This should not be feared. Many people change their profession more than once in their lives. This situation is complicated by the fact that a new profession may require a new education. But this is not a problem, because in some cases you will not need to get a second higher education for a lot of money for two to three years. One can simply obtain additional qualifications by completing a short educational program. Such an opportunity in Moscow is provided by the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. You will study for about six months and can become, for example, a personnel manager. In a new job that interests you, you will work harder and more efficiently.

Step 4

It also happens that you are completely satisfied with your work, but … you simply cannot force yourself to work harder. Set a goal for yourself, explain to yourself why you need to work harder. Perhaps by working more, you will be able to earn more and, finally, you will be able to get a car loan? If you have a specific goal and strive for it, it will become easier to work.

Step 5

But it is not enough to set a goal, you need to write it down, and also draw up (also in writing) a plan to achieve it. Let's say for your purpose you need a higher salary, which is only possible in a higher position. Describe everything that needs to be done to convince the management to give you this position in six months. You may need to take on a few more projects and speak at corporate conferences more often. Write down all the steps you will have to take to reach your goal. Set an approximate time limit for each step. It is quite easy to follow such a plan, because you firmly know what exactly you need to do and why you are doing all this.
