The human right to receive medical care is determined by the Constitution of the Russian Federation. It is secured by the presence of a medical insurance policy, since the doctor's service is paid - and the policy guarantees compensation for the funds spent on your treatment. Non-working citizens must take care of obtaining this document themselves.
Instructions
Step 1
Find out which insurance company issues poles in your locality.
Step 2
You should contact the branch of the insurance company at your place of residence. Call the head office or see the information in the guide. Polyclinics also have information about the location of policyholders.
Step 3
Call the branch you need to find out the specialist's opening hours. The opening hours of the branches located at the polyclinics can be reported to you at the reception.
Step 4
To obtain a medical policy, you will need to submit documents confirming your identity (passport, birth certificate), old policy (if any), pension certificate and work book. The latter is needed to confirm the status of an unemployed person, since policies are ordered and issued to working citizens through the HR department of the organization. Students must present a student ID instead of a work book.
Step 5
To obtain a policy for a child, one of the parents applies to the policyholder. Shows his passport, birth certificate of the child and the child's policy (if he has already received it before).
Step 6
You don't have to imagine the old policy. Say you lost it. This will not lead to penalties, it just has to be closed in the database, and without a policy, a specialist will need more time to search for information.
Step 7
After the presentation of the documents, a contract with the insurance company is prepared. You sign it after examining it. Remember, any contracts must be drawn up in at least two copies, one for each of the parties. If you need your copy, ask the specialist for it, as they usually make it only for themselves.
Step 8
Next, you will be given a temporary policy, with it and with your passport you will need to come again at the specified time (usually in a month) to receive the main document. Then you will receive a health insurance policy that will be valid for life (provided that they do not amend the law on health insurance of citizens).
