However, before sending it to a specific company or agency, it is worth carefully editing the resume and highlighting those points that will be most important in this case.

Step 1
Try to predict what is expected of you in this job. The item "Positive character traits" should be dynamically changed depending on where you get a job. So, if you are applying to an advertising agency, it is important for you to emphasize creativity and intelligence; communication is important for working with people; for a leadership position - strong character. Similarly, select the item "Negative sides": write in there qualities that will not interfere with future activities. For the above examples: absent-mindedness is not terrible for a creative person; hyperactivity will not affect the work with clients too much; being too straightforward is not a sin for a leader.
Step 2
Write down only those experiences that are constructively useful. It is not at all necessary to indicate all the places of work at which you were registered in the resume: if it is important, the company will clarify this question at the interview. For the editor of the magazine, information that you have worked at a construction site will be completely superfluous compared to 4 years of freelancing experience. Therefore, it is worth indicating only the places closest to your future position.
Step 3
Do not overuse your resume. If the document is long enough and will give comprehensive answers to any question, then the employer may well give a refusal based on the idea about you received from there. But, on the other hand, if the key points turn out to be quite intriguing, but not clarified enough, then there will be a reason to invite you for an interview and talk in person: and this will bring you one step closer to a new place.

Maintain the style according to the place of application. If you want to get a job in an office, then you will need some lack of individuality and the ability to speak in a clear, concise language. At the same time, the work of a web designer often relies precisely on personal qualities, and therefore the resume should be made alive, add more "yourself" there.
