Under Russian law, every pregnant woman is entitled to paid maternity leave. With a singleton pregnancy, a maternity leave is issued from the first day at 31 weeks of gestation, with multiple pregnancies - from the first day at 29 weeks. According to the testimony of an obstetrician-gynecologist, a woman can be sent on maternity leave earlier. All maternity leave is paid at an average wage of 24 months.
Instructions
Step 1
To calculate the payment for the maternity leave, all the amounts received from which the income tax was withheld must be added and divided by the number of calendar days in the billing period, by 730. The resulting figure is multiplied by the number of days of the maternity leave. With a singleton pregnancy - by 140, with a multiple pregnancy, 196 days are paid.
Step 2
If a woman before maternity leave was on sick leave for a long time or did not work, but was on parental leave, then for calculating the maternity benefit she can choose any other period that will be most beneficial for her.
Step 3
The maximum amount for calculating maternity leave benefits has been increased to 465,000 for one billing year. The allowance can be obtained from all employers in enterprises where the woman worked during the billing period.
Step 4
If a woman has worked for less than two years, then the calculation is made from the amount of money actually earned from which insurance premiums were withheld, divided by the actual number of calendar days for the period of work.
Step 5
For women who have worked for less than six months, the allowance is calculated based on the average daily minimum wage multiplied by the number of days on the maternity leave. The same calculation is made for women whose earnings were less than the average daily minimum wage.
Step 6
If the delivery was complicated, then 16 days after it is paid additionally.
Step 7
With established multiple pregnancy during childbirth, the woman is paid extra 56 days separately.
