Maternity leave is 140 days for normal pregnancies, 156 for complicated childbirth, 194 for multiple pregnancies or multiple pregnancies during childbirth. Maternity leave is paid until the child reaches the age of one and a half years. Paid monthly at 40% of average earnings. Average earnings are calculated over 24 months.
Instructions
Step 1
To calculate the amount of the benefit that must be paid for pregnancy and childbirth, it is necessary to add up all the amounts received by the woman in the 24 months that preceded the maternity leave.
The total does not include the amount of social benefits. The amount received must always be divided by 730. This will be the allowance for one day of maternity leave. Further multiply depending on whether a woman has a singleton or multiple pregnancy. This will be the amount of maternity.
The tax on maternity money is not deducted. 16 days for a difficult course of childbirth is paid after childbirth in a separate amount. If the woman was paid for the days as for a singleton pregnancy, and during the process of childbirth it turned out that there are more children, then the missing days are paid separately after the birth.
Step 2
When a woman has no experience of 24 months, the calculation is made from the amounts actually earned and the actual calendar days. Social benefit payments are not included in the calculation. The average daily earnings are calculated and multiplied by the days due for maternity leave. The calculated amount cannot be lower than the average daily minimum wage. If the calculated amount of average daily earnings is lower than the established minimum wage, then the amount is paid according to the minimum wage.
Step 3
The maternity money can be obtained from all employers where the woman works. The amount cannot be higher than the average earnings calculated on the basis of 465 thousand per year.
Step 4
Payments for maternity leave to care for a child up to one and a half years is monthly 40% of a woman's average earnings and cannot be lower than the average earnings calculated on the basis of the minimum wage. The average daily earnings are multiplied by 30, 4. The resulting amount must be multiplied by 40%.
