The Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation has made amendments and changes to calculate the length of service and average earnings to pay for sick leave. The length of service for payment is calculated total for all entries in the employee's work book, and not insurance, as it was before. The amount to be paid for sick leave is calculated based on the average earnings for 24 months. The total does not include payments for social benefits, but it is allowed to include travel allowances and daily allowances for the billing period.
Instructions
Step 1
The length of service for paying sick leave can be calculated using a special computer program by entering all the data on the periods of work at each enterprise. The program will give an accurate calculation by years, months and days of total work experience that must be entered in the corresponding column of the sick leave.
Step 2
When calculating manually, write down in a column all the periods of work of the employee in each enterprise. Count the operating time for each column separately. To do this, the date of admission must be subtracted from the date of dismissal. Add up the results. Count the years of work experience on the basis of 12 months, days in a month are taken on the basis of 30. The sick leave must indicate the work experience in years, months and days, even if it exceeds 8 calendar years, when payment is made 100%.
Step 3
With work experience of up to 5 years, sick leave is paid 60% of the average earnings for 24 months, from 5 to 8 years - 80%, from 8 years - 100%.
Step 4
The average earnings for payment of a certificate of incapacity for work is calculated by adding up all the amounts earned from which taxes were paid. Divide this amount by 730.
