Knowing your seniority (length of service) is necessary. If a person has been working or worked in the same industry for a long time, the current legislation for different positions and professions provides numerous benefits and rights. To calculate the length of service, you can contact any employee of the organization's personnel department. However, there are situations, for example, if the personnel department forgot to calculate a certain period of work, when you yourself need to be able to calculate your length of service.
It is necessary
- - employment history;
- - order (orders) for employment;
- - military ID.
Instructions
Step 1
Length of service in certain industries, such as government or civil service positions, offers benefits. They can be a wage supplement, additional rest days to annual leave, the right to occupy higher positions. To know if you are eligible for such benefits, you can contact the HR department, where a competent specialist will calculate your seniority (length of service), or you can do it yourself, armed with a work record book or a job order.
Step 2
It is necessary to determine whether it is your working time that is the period that, according to the List of periods of civil service, gives the right to the above benefits. Such periods include the time of work in: government positions of the Russian Federation and the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, federal state civil service and state civil service of constituent entities, positions of prosecutors, positions of employees of the Investigative Committee, military positions, positions of internal affairs bodies, customs authorities, tax police, municipal and elective offices.
Step 3
The length of service begins to flow when working for more than 1 year, continuously or in total. Therefore, to determine it, you need to know the date of employment. From this date, the length of service begins.
For example, if you took up duties from 01.09.2001, then from 01.09.2002. you are entitled to the benefits that the law entitles you. This is a simple example in the case of continuous work experience. If it was interrupted or consists of several periods, each of which separately gives the right to length of service, then all these periods just need to be added into one general one.
For example, working time: from 01.09.2001. until 31.01.2002 (5 months) in one organization and from 20.02.2002. to 30.04.2005 (3 years 2 months 11 days). We add both periods and get 3 g. 7 months. 11 days. In total, the length of service in this case will be 3 years, since only full years are taken into account in the calculation.
