Many have relatives and friends abroad. And people are always happy when they come to visit. But, according to the legislation of the Russian Federation, the receiving party is obliged to warn the FMS authorities in time about the arrival of foreign citizens. The notification procedure is the same for all foreigners, regardless of which country they come from.

How to issue a notification

Necessary

  • - copy of the foreigner's passport;
  • - copy of the foreigner's visa;
  • - a copy of the foreigner's migration card;
  • - passport of the notifier;
  • - notification form

Instructions

Step 1

Play it safe. Various territorial bodies of the FMS may require you to provide copies of additional documents in addition to the basic ones listed in the "What is required" section. This can be a copy of the notifier's passport or a copy of the certificate of ownership of the apartment, if you are registered in another city.

Step 2

Take a notice form. This can be done at the territorial office of the FMS or at the post office (but not at all). You can download the form from the official website of the FMS and print it. Also on the official website there is a sample of filling out the notification.

Step 3

Complete the home notice form. As a rule, in the premises of the FMS there are few conditions for filling out documents and often there are long queues. If you do not know or doubt the correctness of filling in individual fields, leave them blank. It is better to check with a specialist than to rewrite everything anew.

Step 4

In the form, indicate the address of the stay of the foreign citizen, as well as your passport details. This means that the foreigner will be temporarily registered at the specified address, and you will be fully responsible for him during the entire time of his stay in the Russian Federation.

Step 5

Submit the "Notification of the arrival of a foreign citizen" to the FMS authority at the place of stay of the foreign citizen. This can be done either in person, by appearing at the migration service, or by mailing the documents.

Step 6

Please note that 2 notification forms are required for postage. Find out the cost of postage and receipt of notification in advance. These are two different services and you need to pay for them separately. By the way, not all post offices are engaged in receiving and forwarding notifications. Find out this in advance too. For example, at the Central Post Office.

Step 7

Observe the notice deadlines. The law gives 3 days to notify the FMS of the arrival of a foreign citizen. After the migration service accepts the notification, it issues a tear-off coupon in confirmation. It should be returned back as soon as the foreigner leaves back as a notification of the departure of the foreign citizen.
