A letter of request is a fairly common form of business correspondence. There are many reasons for contacting: it is agreement or motivation for action, and the receipt of information, services or goods. The letter can be addressed to both a specific person and the entire organization.
Instructions
Step 1
Contact Information If the letter is written on behalf of the organization, it is best to use letterhead. In any case, the letter of request must contain: the contact information of the sender and, if the letter is on behalf of the company, then its name, type of activity and details.
Step 2
It is tactless to start a letter with the word "Please". The introductory part should be placed first. It sets out the essence of the matter, the motives and goals of this appeal. The reason for the appeal may be: some interest, non-receipt of something, the results of negotiations, etc. The purpose of the appeal is usually to agree on issues or follow orders from the superiors. The basis for writing a letter can be: government decisions, oral or written agreements, etc.
Step 3
Request The following is the essence of the request. In stating it, one should emphasize the degree of interest in performance.
The keyword must be derived from the verb "ask". This will look more correct than the requirement. But there may be no words about the request, if, for example, the expression is used: “We hope that you will give us the opportunity …” You can express the request in the first person singular (“Please …”), the first person plural (“We ask … "), A third person singular (" The administration asks … ") and a third person plural (" The management and administration are asking … "). The letter of request may contain either one or several requests. It is better to start expressing the next request with words such as “I ask at the same time,” “I also ask,” etc.
