Necessary

  • - a needle;
  • - threads;
  • - awl;
  • - the seal of the organization.

Instructions

Step 1

It is necessary to stitch accounting documents in such a way as to exclude loss, forgery or replacement of documents. There are no clear instructions for this procedure, each organization sews as it sees fit. But all the same, for the correct archival storage of accounting documents, one can be guided by GOST 51141-98 "Office work and archival business".

Step 2

Pins and any metal fasteners must be removed from the documents before stitching. In the left margin of the document, make 5 holes with a hole punch or awl. They should be located vertically, strictly at the left edge of the sheet to preserve the readability of the text and the ability to turn pages. Place the documents in a hard cardboard cover.

Step 3

Sew the documents with twine or thick thread 2 times for security with a sewing needle. The remaining ends of the threads must be pulled out on the back of the documents, leaving 5-6 cm, and tied with a knot.

Step 4

Glue a square of thin tissue paper 5x6 cm on top of the thread knot. The ends of the thread should remain visible. It is better not to use thick paper, because the knot should be visible. For gluing, use silicate or stationery glue.

Step 5

On top of the glued square, the seal of the organization is put in such a way that it captures part of the sheet of the document. The label also bears the signature of the head of the organization or an authorized person. The signature must be clearly visible and distinguishable, put only after the glue has dried.

Step 6

The safety of the certified sticker, seal imprint and stitching thread serves as a guarantor of the inviolability of your accounting documents.
