Step 1
You can apply for contract service if you meet the following requirements: you have at least secondary education, are fit for military service for health reasons, have completed or are doing military service. Men are accepted from 18 to 40 years old, women from 20 to 40.
Step 2
Prepare documents - passport, military ID (if any), driver's license (if any), education certificate. With these documents, contact the military unit where you plan to serve. Write a statement addressed to the commander with a request to be accepted for service under the contract. If you have not yet decided where to go to serve, contact any military registration and enlistment office. The commissariat will tell you which military units have vacancies for the ranks of soldiers, sergeants and foremen. In this case, you must write a statement addressed to the military commissioner with a request to send you to the unit for serving under the contract.
Step 3
Then, the specialists of the military unit will check your physical fitness, assess your professional and psychological qualities and stress resistance. The certification commission does not make a decision on your admission to the service, but only gives an opinion whether you meet the requirements for contract soldiers or not. The decision is made by the unit commander. Even if you are refused, it will be done in writing, indicating your shortcomings. If you are accepted, the commander must write a petition and send the candidate for contract service to the military commissariat for paperwork for entering the service.
Step 4
Next, you will have a medical examination. Doctors of the military registration and enlistment office will check whether you are fit for military service for health reasons. They will take a look at your physical development. If everything is in order, a personal file is drawn up and a sheet of departure to the military unit is issued. Already in the military unit, the commander concludes with you an agreement on the passage of service under the contract.
