The employer is obliged to issue you a policy of compulsory medical insurance (OMS) if his legal address is in one subject of the Federation, and you are registered at the place of residence in another. All formalities are taken over by the personnel department, accounting department or another department, and the employee is only required to fill out and sign an application and provide documents.

Necessary

  • - the passport;
  • - pension insurance certificate (if any);
  • - an application form for issuing a policy;
  • - a fountain pen.

Instructions

Step 1

In most cases, you will be immediately offered to fill out a questionnaire and provide the necessary documents: a passport and, if available, a certificate of compulsory pension insurance. In the absence of a pension insurance certificate, the employer can also take care of its registration or issuance of a duplicate in case of loss. Copies of all documents will be made, which will be transferred to the Territorial Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund (TFOMI). Then, after a while, the employer's representatives will hand you a ready-made policy.

Step 2

If the employer is in no hurry to draw up a policy for you, it will not be superfluous to remind him diplomatically of this. Most often, this does not happen by malicious intent, but due to insufficient knowledge of the laws or heavy workload of staff: they simply forgot in the constant turnover. By and large, the employer is even more interested in obtaining a policy than you are. For him, this is a guarantee that he will not have to reimburse your treatment costs by a court decision.

Step 3

The employer's obligation to issue policies for nonresident employees is due to the fact that the company pays social security contributions for each such employee, including to the TFOMI at the place of its legal address. Thus, the employee has the rights to the policy as long as these deductions are made for him.

In case of dismissal, he is obliged to hand over the policy to the employer. But if he gets a job in the same subject of the Federation, he will receive a new policy from the next employer.
