The selection of keywords is the most important stage during the optimization and promotion of any site. Any mistakes during the compilation of the semantic core can lead to the fact that the site will be actively promoted for inappropriate requests or for requests that have very strong competition.
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to understand what keywords are. These are words and phrases that users will type in search engines in order to find information. They are divided by the number of requests: - low-frequency requests - they are rarely asked, but they have low competition;
- mid-frequency requests;
- high-frequency queries - a high number of impressions per month, but also a lot of competition. By type of entry: - exact entry;
- direct entry;
- diluted entry;
- synonymous entry;
- reverse entry.
Step 2
Determine the pages that will be promoted in search engines. These pages are also called entry points. In most cases, this is the home page of the site.
Step 3
You need to choose keywords and phrases based on the content of the page. Using special services (each search engine has its own services that make it possible to estimate the number of requests for a given keyword), you need to determine for which key phrases the site will be promoted.
Step 4
Analyze your results. It is unlikely that it will be possible to bring the site to the first place in the search results for high-frequency queries (unless the site is completely devoted to that topic, and you are working hard to promote it). It is recommended to select several high-frequency queries for the main page, low-frequency queries are suitable for the rest of the entry points.
