Anyone may need a vacation at their own expense. How to write an application at your own expense, in what cases is the employer obliged to provide you with vacation, and does it affect the granting of the next vacation?
Instructions
Step 1
According to labor law, an employee can leave at his own expense only at his own request (the boss cannot force him to write a statement at his own expense). At the same time, unpaid leave (this is how vacation at own expense is officially called) is provided regardless of the length of service or the vacation schedule and does not in any way affect the duration of the next paid leave and the timing of its provision.
Step 2
In a statement to your account, as in any other statement, there must be a "heading", which indicates to whom the application is addressed (position and full name), from whom it is (also position and full name) and the name of the document (“application”).
Step 3
The text of the application must contain a request for unpaid leave, as well as the dates of the beginning and end of the leave. It is not necessary to indicate the reason why you needed a vacation. At the end of the application, the date of its writing and the signature of the applicant are put.
Step 4
Please note that the employer has the discretion to deny you leave at their own expense. True, there are a number of cases when, according to the law, you are not entitled to “not let you go from work”. In particular, this is the birth of a child, registration of marriage or the death of close relatives. In such really special cases, you can claim up to 5 days of vacation at your own expense. They are also obliged to provide leave for the duration of exams to employees who combine work with studies at universities or applicants; pensioners, war veterans and some other categories of workers.
