Step 1

In order to assign responsibilities to an employee, the head of the organization should obtain the employee's written consent for the temporary performance of the official duties of a temporarily absent employee. To do this, draw up an additional agreement, which specifies what responsibilities, on what conditions and during what period of time the employee will perform.

Step 2

On the basis of the additional agreement concluded, you issue an order on the assignment of duties. In the order, be sure to indicate the period during which the employee will temporarily perform duties. If an employee temporarily performs duties without interrupting his main job, then in the order, be sure to indicate the amount of additional payment for combining positions.

Step 3

The amount of the additional payment is established on the basis of internal regulations on payment at the enterprise or in accordance with the annex to the collective agreement of the organization.

Step 4

In the event that the assignment of duties to an employee does not entail a change in his job duties or any changes in the terms of the employment contract between the organization and the employee, you can make the assignment of duties without concluding an additional agreement. To do this, you only need to issue an order on the temporary performance of duties in the prescribed form in accordance with the rules of office work.

Step 5

When assigning duties without preliminary execution of an additional agreement, the amount of additional payment for the temporary performance of duties, you negotiate with the employee.

Step 6

After issuing an order to assign duties to an employee, send a copy of the order to the accounting department for further calculation of the employee's salary for the main job and temporary performance of the duties of the absent employee.
