Step 1

Strictly according to the letter of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the employee in most cases is required to warn about the transfer to another position two months in advance. The employer must do this in writing. The employee signs the receipt of a warning, and in case of consent - the corresponding document. In practice, this is more relevant when an employee is demoted in position or salary. He is usually interested in a faster promotion of both. So, they usually get by with a statement of the employee with a request for transfer and an indication of the new department and position, to which the head of the organization applies a positive resolution, certified by the signature. It will not be superfluous to first certify the document with the current and future immediate managers.

Step 2

On the basis of the employee's application or his written consent for the transfer, a transfer order is issued. It indicates the surname, name and patronymic of the employee, his current position and the division where he is listed, the new position and division and the date from which he must begin his duties in a new capacity.

Step 3

The entry in the work book about the transfer dates from the day specified in the order. It also indicates the new division of the company and the position. The number and date of issue of the transfer order are entered in the appropriate column.

If the transfer was carried out not at the request of the employee, but with his consent, especially in the case of a downgrade, the date of issue of the order should be exactly two months apart from the date of entry in the employment record of the transfer.
