Thanks to such a legal document as a power of attorney, a person can make transactions without being present in person. At the same time, he can be represented by another person holding a notarized power of attorney confirming his authority. The legality of such transactions is confirmed by Article 185 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.
What types of powers of attorney are
A power of attorney can only be drawn up in writing, and in the case when it involves the performance of transactions that must be drawn up by a notary, it itself must be notarized. How to shop using a general power of attorney
To issue a general power of attorney for a person representing your interests, you must contact a notary office. The text of this document must indicate: place and date of issue of the power of attorney; its validity period. The maximum period for which a general power of attorney can be issued is 3 years, if it is not agreed, the power of attorney will be considered valid for one year. In addition, in the power of attorney, you must indicate your last name, first name and patronymic, citizenship and place of residence, passport data; surname, name and patronymic of the representative, his place of residence, passport data (if possible). You must personally issue a general power of attorney with a notary, but the presence of your authorized representative is not necessary.
Having in hand this power of attorney, certified by a notary, your representative can make purchase and sale transactions by signing the corresponding agreement on the part of the buyer. At the same time, after his last name, first name and patronymic are indicated in the contract, the text "acting under a power of attorney issued then on behalf of such and such" should follow, indicating your place of residence, citizenship, passport data.
