General power of attorney is the most common form of power of attorney. They do it in cases where the principal needs to transfer the right to legally exercise powers in any field of activity or to fully manage property on behalf of a legal entity or individual.

Step 1
The general power of attorney is drawn up only in writing, the oral form has no legal force.
Step 2
The general power of attorney is not considered valid if the date of issue is not indicated in it.
Step 3
If the power of attorney is drawn up on behalf of a legal entity, then it must be certified by the signature and seal of the head. Only those powers of attorney issued on the basis of a transfer are subject to obligatory notarization by a notary to legal entities. In other cases, only those powers of attorney issued to individuals need to be notarized. But as practice shows, it is better to certify any general power of attorney.

The powers that you assign to a trusted person must be described in great detail.
Step 5
It is best to indicate in the text of the power of attorney the passport details of the authorized person.
Step 6
It is imperative to indicate in the general power of attorney the right of substitution.
Step 7
If the head of the organization has suddenly changed, then you need to immediately replace the powers of attorney signed by the old director, with a power of attorney signed by the new one.
Step 8
The term of the power of attorney is best indicated, but the maximum can be done only for three years, in the future it will have to be done again. If you have not specified the term, then the general power of attorney will still be considered valid, but only within one year from the date of signing the power of attorney.
