A drawing is a design document, therefore, when drawing it up, strict adherence to the regulations established by GOSTs is required. There are many GOSTs that relate to ESKD - a unified system for design documentation. They stipulate the established dimensions of the sheets, the thickness of the lines, the order of registration. They should be guided in order to correctly draw up the drawings of the design documentation.
Instructions
Step 1
The dimensions of the drawing must be in the established format - from A0 to A4, all formats are multiples of each other and their length and width are determined with millimeter precision. The A0 format has a size of 841x1189 mm, A4 - 210x297 mm.
Step 2
A prerequisite for a well-formed drawing is the frame and the title block. The top, bottom and right margins of the frame are 5 mm. The left margin of the frame is 20 mm so that the drawing can be filed into a shared folder. Frame line thickness - 0.5 mm. The drawing itself is made using various types of lines. They depend on the thickness of the main thick line, which can have a thickness of 0.5 to 1.4 mm.
Step 3
In the lower right corner, place the title block, also called a stamp. Its shape and dimensions are set in GOST 2.104-68. In the production drawing, it should be 185 mm long and 55 mm high. The margins, row and column sizes of the title block also have their own strictly fixed sizes. The main inscription contains information about the name of the product, the material from which the parts made in the drawing are made, their weight in kilograms, the scale of the drawing. In addition, in the stamp, be sure to include information about the coding of the drawing, its manufacturer and the officials who carried out the control and acceptance.
Step 4
For the general rules for applying dimensions and inscriptions, see GOST 2.307-68. But you should be aware that a special drawing font is used to draw them. If you still do not know how to write them, then we advise you to practice on a draft before you write numbers and letters on the drawing itself. Sometimes, in order to apply the inscription, beautifully and correctly arrange the dimensions, you can spend as much time as drawing the details themselves.
Step 5
All drawings are made on a fixed scale, so it can depict both large objects: a structure, a car, and small ones - parts of a watch, an electrical circuit. Whatever the scale indicated, the dimensions of the parts are put down in the drawing only valid.
