A corporate picnic allows employees not only to have a good rest, but also to get to know each other better, to communicate in an informal atmosphere. Often, such communication helps to work in a team in the future, and for beginners it is a great chance to open up, to get closer to colleagues. However, without proper organization, a corporate picnic will not bring any benefit and may even cause unpleasant situations and conflicts.
Instructions
Step 1
Designate a time and place for the event. On the one hand, the picnic should be done in a place that is not too difficult to get to. On the other hand, there should be no outsiders who can ruin the event. Be sure to resolve the issue with transport: it is advisable to order buses on which employees can come and go. As for time, corporate picnics are most often held on weekends. The activity should not start too early for the participants to get enough sleep, and end not too late so that everyone can return home in time.
Step 2
Make a list of participants and choose your assistants. It is important to remember three simple rules. First, you need to warn about a picnic in advance so that people can adjust their plans. Second, you shouldn't confuse entertainment with work. If an employee cannot come, there is no need to persuade him, let alone threaten him. This will not end well: at best he will come, but he will be angry all day, and his opinion of the company and management will deteriorate. Third, don't place too much hope in certain people: if someone gets sick and can't come, it shouldn't ruin the whole picnic.
Step 3
Prepare some games. It is desirable that there be as many team games as possible, as well as competitions. Be careful not to use humiliating or obscene tests, even if you think it will help people open up more and have a lot of fun. Prepare both active games and more relaxed options. Be sure to choose as much entertainment as possible: even if you do not use everything, there will be no awkward situations when you have to invent something on the go.
Step 4
Don't keep everything in your head. Take notes. Make a list of the picnic participants, a detailed daily routine, and a list of what you will need. This list must include things that will help in case the weather deteriorates, as well as a first aid kit with bandages, iodine, plasters and medicines. If you have to buy some items, first ask employees if they can borrow them. Someone may have a wireless microphone for the presenter, while someone knows how to cook well and will probably agree to bring food. By the way, if you can allocate enough funds, you can contact the specialists who will prepare and deliver the food themselves.
