Frequent tardiness to work can be a reason for deprivation of bonuses, reprimands and even dismissal. To prevent this from happening, urgently pull yourself together and learn to come to work on time, and even better - with a small time margin. You will save money, maintain a good mood and a reputation for being a conscientious employee.
Instructions
Step 1
The most common reason for being late is the inability to wake up on time. To get up early, you will have to revise your daily routine. Try not to sit late after midnight, do not try to redo all the pending tasks in the evening.
Step 2
Get used to the new schedule gradually. Try lying down 15 minutes early to get started. Move the alarm hands to a quarter of an hour. If the experiment fails, repeat it the next day. Your goal is to find a regimen that is acceptable to your body. Observe it on weekends, otherwise all work will be in vain.
Step 3
When you wake up earlier than usual, resist the temptation to take a little more nap. Most likely, you will oversleep. When you open your eyes, get up right away, even if the alarm says you have 40 more minutes left. Do not waste time looking through your mail, having breakfast in front of the TV, and other pleasant, but not necessary, activities. After spending extra 15-20 minutes, you will definitely be late. Do whatever you need to do first, and if you have free time, spend it as you see fit.
Step 4
In the morning you have to pack your child to kindergarten, cook breakfast, walk the dog? Share responsibilities with your household. Save yourself only one to do from the list. If you absolutely do not have time for breakfast, prepare a regular sandwich or a bag of instant oatmeal in the evening and take food with you.
Step 5
Calculate the time it takes to get ready and travel to work. If you need to be in the office at 9.00, and the journey takes an hour, you must leave no later than eight. Time your morning preparations and minus it from the hour of leaving the house. Add 15 minutes and get the optimal time to wake up.
Step 6
If morning traffic gets in the way of arriving at your office on time, consider getting to work earlier. Perhaps checking out half an hour before peak traffic will save you not only time, but also nerves. Arriving at the office before the start of the working day, spend your free minutes adjusting plans, reviewing mail, drinking coffee and breakfast. Invite your management to revise your work schedule - coming earlier, you will leave the workplace earlier. This way you can avoid even rush hour in the evening.
