In April 2009, a new rule was introduced on pasting a photograph of a child into a passport. If earlier parents had to paste photos of children aged 6-14, now - even babies.
Necessary
- - two photographs of the child (for pasting in the parents' passport);
- - a photocopy of the child's birth certificate;
- - passport of the parent;
- - a copy of the insert about the citizenship of the child;
- - receipt of payment of state duty.
Instructions
Step 1
Photos of children are pasted into the passports of parents in the FMS at the place of residence. Before going there, make a photocopy of the child's birth certificate, as well as a photocopy of the citizenship insert.
Step 2
Take a picture of the child. The required format is black-and-white or color photographs in an oval measuring 3.5 by 4.5 cm.
Step 3
Pay at the bank the state fee for pasting a photo - 50 rubles. A sample of filling out the receipt can be viewed at the stand in the FMS. If you do not want to fill out the receipt yourself, then use the bank's service - for 10 - 20 rubles you will be filled out a receipt for payment of the state duty.
Step 4
Submit documents to the migration service at your place of residence. If the papers are in order, they will be accepted and the passport waiting period will be told. The whole process usually takes a week.
Step 5
Be sure to check the presence of a holographic print on the child's photo in your passport. The absence of such a seal can create problems when crossing the border, in the worst case, you will not be allowed into the country. The holographic seal confirms that the photo of the child was pasted not by you, but by the employees of the Federal Migration Service.
