A photograph is not an obligatory element of a resume, unless presentable appearance is included in the list of requirements for the applicant. However, a well-chosen snapshot can increase the chances of a resume being reviewed by a prospective employer.

Instructions
Step 1
Find a snapshot suitable for insertion into your resume. For this purpose, it is recommended to use high-quality color images shot against a neutral background. It is best to be photographed full face in business attire. In other words, find a snapshot for your resume, by which you can judge how you look in a work environment.
Step 2
If other people are in the frame on a suitable photo, crop the photo using the cropping tool of any graphics editor. By means of the same program, you can, if necessary, increase the sharpness of the picture.
Step 3
With the help of Photoshop, you can improve an unsuccessful photo by removing circles under the eyes, highlights and skin imperfections. It is worth retouching a photo intended for a resume only if you are well versed in the tools of a graphic editor and are able to perform processing, the traces of which will not be conspicuous.
Step 4
To add a snapshot to a resume saved as a word processing document, open the text file in a program that has the option to insert images. Place the cursor on the fragment where the photo will be inserted, and use the "Insert" option of the main menu. If you are editing your resume in one of the versions of Word, click on the picture added to the text and reduce its size by pulling the corner marker. To make the photo fit into the text, adjust the wrapping options.
Step 5
If your resume is posted on one of the Internet resources like HeadHunter or SuperJob, open the home page of the desired site in a browser and log into your account, specifying your password and login in the login form fields. Go to the list of your CVs by selecting the "My CVs" option from the menu.
Step 6
The way you add a photo may differ from site to site. So, on the SuperJob website, you can insert a photo from the resume list view mode. To upload a snapshot, click on the square to the left of the job title. In the window that opens, you can read the requirements that this resource makes for photography. By clicking on the "Browse" button, select the picture you want to download.
Step 7
To insert a snapshot into a resume posted on the HeadHunter website, you need to open the resume and use the "Add" option by clicking on the rectangular field for a snapshot in the upper left corner.
Step 8
Part of the resources on which you can post a resume allows you to upload photos only through the user profile settings window. If the resume editing mode does not contain a form for inserting a picture, use the "Settings" option and select the "Upload photo" item in the window that opens.
