Although the registration as such has been canceled, the registration of Russians can hardly be called a notification procedure. In the absence of registration, it is almost impossible to draw up various documents, obtain an insurance policy, or get a job. The registration of a child, regulated by legislative provisions and acts, has its own characteristics. Children can be registered only at the place of residence of one of their parents, guardians or adoptive parents.
A package of documents for registration of a child
After you have been issued a child's birth certificate, you can proceed with registration of his registration. First, you need to collect a package of documents, and then certify them with the head of the housing office. After that, you need to contact the passport office. Please note that the registration procedure for a child is completely free, without fees and additional fees.
Required package of documents:
- passport and birth certificate of both parents (original and copies);
- marriage certificate (original and copy);
- an application by one of the parents to register a child at their place of residence;
- an extract from the house book with personal accounts;
- a statement of consent to the registration of the second parent.
In addition, if a child is registered at the address of one of the parents, a certificate from the place of residence of the other is required, which confirms that the child is not registered with him at his address.
The entire procedure for registering a child will take several days. Please note that according to the changes made to the Registration Rules of the Russian Federation, when registering minor children, you will have to be given a Certificate of Registration at the place of residence. However, it is issued, as a rule, only on demand. And in some passport offices, without a legal basis, they put a stamp on registration directly on the birth certificate. Be careful and check the question with the stamp with the passport officer in advance.
It is important to know: the nuances of registering a child
When registering a child at the father's address, you will need the father's statements and written permission from the mother. When registering at the same address as the mother, permission from the father is not required.
Registration of a child up to 1 month is possible only upon application from the mother. After 1 month, a certificate from the father's place of residence is added to the mother's application. Family members who are registered at the same address as the parents are not required to agree to register the child.
For registration, the presence of both parents is required. Registration of a child is carried out regardless of the size and conditions of the living space. You cannot register a child with relatives, since, according to the civil code, separation is allowed only from the age of 16.
If the parents live separately, the father cannot register the child with her without the mother's consent. Conversely, the mother does not have the right to register the child with the father without his permission.
