Remote work is very popular now. Some want more independence and creativity in their work, others see the future behind it.

What is remote work

If you work in an office, and even in a metropolis, then talking about stress and pompous leadership is not worth it. Everyone is in a hurry somewhere, deadlines are always burning, tasks are pouring in, sometimes not of your competence. And on the Internet, more and more happy remote workers flicker. Everyone is happy as one.

Yes, I also went from office to freelance and back twice. Still stopped at a remote location. The state of health has improved. There is more free time. Wages have increased by 2, 5 times and this is not a ceiling.

Of course, freelancing has its pros and cons. It takes a lot of discipline, self-organization and constantly being in good shape. Continuous training, practice and experience. It took me almost a year for the salary to exceed 30 thousand. My freelance record is 103,000 (this is how I fulfilled my dream at the age of 25 - to go to the sea and not think about anything).

So what is remote work in reality: freebies or work?

First of all, this is an ordinary job, where there is a schedule, responsibilities and deadlines, only you carry out your activities from home or another place convenient for you. Here you have to communicate directly with customers, build connections and gain experience. Salary depends only on how you worked this month. Didn't work - didn't work!

You can officially apply for a remote mode of work (now more and more companies are going online). Every month more and more Internet professions are born. Or you can look for customers, which I started with.

I tried myself in various Internet professions, but I made a choice in favor of content management. I decided that I would only take orders related to the content of online stores. At first it was difficult to find orders, but already six months later, 4 regular customers appeared, thanks to which I began to receive more than in the office. Time to work took from 2 to 5 hours a day. I set the schedule myself. The main thing is deadlines.

It is still interesting that the world is developing, 10-15 years ago no one could have thought of such a format of work. And now, more and more people want to become a part of the successful world of freelancing.

What are the advantages of freelancing:

- residents of megalopolises save up to 4 hours, which would be spent on simple movement from home to work and back;

- residents of small towns and villages received tremendous opportunities for development and earnings;

- savings on transport, lunches, lunches;

- saving nerves.

Of the minuses, the following can be distinguished:

- independent search for clients;

- a big waste for electricity and internet;

- spending on equipment;

- self-discipline and self-control.

Remote work will not suit you if at least 40% of your office time is idle. It doesn't work like that on freelance. Nobody will pay just because you are. It takes more perseverance, more concentration and focus on results. You can work 4 hours a day, but efficiently and get an office salary for it. For me, it's tempting. The most important thing is to find your profession, or transfer the existing one to the Internet.

For example, online you can even work as an accountant and lawyer in a company or for a blogger.

If you seriously decided to master the world of freelancing for yourself, I do not recommend leaving your office. Start earning 1 hour a day and on weekends. Build customers, experience and portfolio. And when your income equals the office salary, then you can think about leaving.
