Step 1

If you need to hire a foreign citizen, contact the territorial office of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation. Write a statement addressed to the head of this body. Indicate in it the reasons why you need to employ a foreigner. Obtain permission from the Federal Migration Service. In the absence of this document, you may be subject to penalties.

Step 2

Ask the foreigner whom you will be hiring for a position in the company to present a work permit in our country. In the absence of this document, a foreign citizen should contact the bodies of the FMS of Russia. A plastic card-permit allows a foreigner to carry out labor activities within the region where this document was issued.

Step 3

Accept the application from the foreign citizen. The document is addressed to the director of the company. The application contains the personal data of a non-resident in accordance with the passport of the country in which he permanently resides. Put down the approval visa with the director, then complete the contract.

Step 4

When drawing up a contract with a foreigner, write down the conditions of admission in accordance with the position, as well as the norms of labor legislation. Please note that it is advisable for such an employee to transfer wages to a current account. This is recommended by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.

Step 5

Issue the order (use form T-1). Write the working conditions in the same way as with the clauses of the agreement (contract) with a foreigner. Notify the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation and the tax authority within 10 days about the registration of the employee for the position. Moreover, personal income tax for foreigners is 30%, in contrast to income tax for Russian citizens.

Step 6

If the foreigner does not have a work book, give him a new work document form. Enter information about the position, department, name of the company where the non-resident is admitted. Moreover, a residence permit is a mandatory document for foreigners. The rest of the list of documentation corresponds to the list that is established for citizens of the Russian Federation.
