Employees in a company can be permanent, seasonal or temporary. At the same time, the apparent number of employees implies their required number, depending on the number of jobs and the norms of time of productive activity of each of them.

Step 1
Use the formula to calculate the headcount: (К х Вр): Нр, where Р - the number of jobs in the company; Pr is the time of the organization's work for a certain period (for example, for a year); Нр is an indicator of the rate of work per one worker for the considered period of time.
Step 2
Calculate the number of employees on the basis of previous calculations of the number of employees: (T * Y): D, where I is the number of employees; T is the number of working days for the analyzed period, excluding weekends and holidays; D - working days, excluding all vacations and days in view of the possible absence of employees for any other valid reasons, for example, in connection with a study session or illness.
Step 3
Please note that the payroll must include all employees who have been hired for temporary, permanent or seasonal work for a period of one day or more, counting from the day they were hired. At the same time, calculate the payroll taking into account all actually working people, absent, and those persons who work under contracts of a civil legal nature.
Step 4
Determine the average number of employees in the company for a specific period by summing up the payroll indicator for each calendar day worked during this period, including non-working days. Then divide the amount received by the number of calendar days in the period in question. You can perform a similar calculation using the standard and actual operating time.
Step 5
Make a calculation of the need for staff. To do this, determine the number of main workers, and then support staff, and only after this administrative management personnel. With this approach, you can explain the role of the grassroots workers who do the bulk of the work required in the organization.
