There is only one legal way of registration at the place of stay (temporary registration). You must contact the citizen registration center or multifunctional center at the place of your planned temporary stay. An exception is if you are checking into a hotel, boarding house, sanatorium, rest house or other similar place of temporary stay. In this case, all the troubles will be taken over by his administration.

It is necessary

  • - the consent of the owner of the home for your registration or a document confirming the legality of your use of the dwelling (the owner's statement on the provision of housing to you, the lease of the dwelling or other);
  • - certificate of ownership of the owner of the premises for housing;
  • - passport;
  • - application of the established form;
  • - arrival sheet.

Instructions

Step 1

Agree with the homeowner about the best way to arrange it.

Step 2

Ask him to fill out an application for the provision of housing to you or sign a lease or free provision of housing to you if he cannot visit a citizen registration center or a multifunctional center with you during working hours. It is better to prepare these documents with the help of a notary who will certify the signature of the homeowner.

Step 3

Fill out the registration form and arrival sheet. You can get the forms at the citizen registration center (or a multifunctional center for the provision of public services), download them in electronic form on the website of the FMS of Russia or its regional department, or on the portal of public services. If you have registration on the portal of public services, you can also fill it out online and send it to the FMS via the Internet.

Step 4

Visit a Citizen Registration Center or Multifunctional Public Service Center. If you are going there with the owner, ask him to take a passport and a certificate of ownership of the house. Otherwise, make photocopies of these documents. Bring any other required documents with you as well. You can also fill out the application and arrival sheet directly on the spot.

Step 5

Obtain a certificate of registration at the place of stay three days after the submission of the documents, if everything is in order with them.
