Many well-known authors argue that writing is not a muse and inspiration, but a hard daily work, in which there is not even a hint of romance. At the same time, whether you are writing a story, story, essay or article, from the technical point of view, it does not matter. Armed with a piece of paper and a pen, or running a text editor to write your first article, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Step 1
You must clearly understand for which publication you are going to write the article. View, if possible, articles by other authors. Determine which style of speech is more suitable for the articles of the publication you have chosen, clarify all the parameters of the order - the number of printed characters, design requirements, the presence (or absence) of links, lists, tables and other technical details.
Step 2
Define the topic of the article. If you have been given a ready-made topic, think about the title, understand the meaning of what you will write about. Mentally or on a piece of paper draw up an outline of the article, determine its structure. Remember that any text must have a beginning and a logical conclusion, and events, facts or any other information must be presented sequentially.
Step 3
If you find it difficult to immediately formulate what the article will be about, start writing it from the main part, and add the announcement or introduction at the end, when the finished text is before your eyes. When writing the text, remember that the sentences in the paragraphs should be related to each other in meaning, and each new paragraph should logically follow from the previous one.
Step 4
If you refer in an article to historical (political, economic and other) events and facts, use dates, do not be lazy and double-check the accuracy of the facts about which you write. If you mention an Internet resource in the text, indicate its address or the exact name so that the reader can find it on his own.
Step 5
Issue a conclusion, if required. Write an introduction (or announcement) if you haven't already. Re-read the finished article several times, checking it for grammatical, punctuation, stylistic and other errors. Arrange (if necessary) the text on the page in accordance with the customer's requirements (set the width of the margins, align the text, indent paragraphs).
Step 6
Submit the article within the time specified by the customer. If you were not too lazy and did the job in good faith, took into account all the wishes of the publisher, there should be no problems with the publication of your article. If you are writing an article for your own website (newspaper, magazine), the requirements should not be reduced - you want people to read you.
