According to the laws of the Russian Federation, all persons who have reached the age of 14 are required to have a passport. To prevent your parents from being fined, you need to start making a passport no later than a month after your 14th birthday. This is a fairly straightforward procedure.
Instructions
Step 1
Take 4 photos of standard size 3, 5 x 4, 5 cm in a photo studio. In the photo you must definitely be without a hat and sunglasses. If you wear glasses due to poor eyesight, then in the photo you need to be in them. Both color and black and white photos are allowed.
Step 2
Pay the state duty at the nearest Sberbank branch. You can preliminarily take the account details for paying the duty in connection with obtaining the first passport at the department of the Federal Migration Service of your region or on the website of the Federal Migration Service of Russia
Step 3
Take the receipt of payment of the state duty, as well as the photo and birth certificate to the department of the Federal Migration Service at the place of residence. There you will need to fill out an application for a passport upon reaching the age of 14 and submit it along with all documents. The migration service specialist will appoint you the day of receipt of the document with the red crust. Most likely, it will be 10 days after you submit all the documents.
Step 4
On the set date, visit the FMS office again, where the birth certificate will be returned to you and you will finally receive your first passport. It will serve you until you reach the age of 20, when it’s time to change it.
Step 5
When receiving your passport, carefully check whether your data is entered correctly, whether any mistake has been made. Now you on your own, without the help of your parents, will be able to issue a foreign passport, since from that moment your personal signature, which is required to receive the document, has come into force.
Step 6
If you do not come to the migration service office 15 days after the appointed date, a notification letter will be sent to you by mail so that you appear to receive the document. According to the law, your passport will be kept by the FMS for 3 years and then destroyed.
