Responsibility for the timely migration registration of a foreigner lies with the landlord. It is he who must contact the FMS or fill out a notification by mail. The procedure for registering foreigners with migration registration in the capital is the same as throughout the country.
Necessary
- - the passport;
- - passport of a foreigner, if necessary with a notarized translation into Russian;
- - migration card of a foreigner;
- - copies of all named documents (in the case of a passport, personal data and in the presence of a residence permit);
- - notification (taken from the FMS or by mail).
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare all the necessary documents, except for the notification form (it will be given to you by the FMS or by mail). If the foreigner's passport does not contain a Russian version (the text in Russian may be present in the internal passports of citizens of the near abroad, in foreign passports there is usually information only in the national and English languages), its translation into Russian, certified by a notary, will be needed.
Make photocopies of all documents.
The presence of a foreigner when registering for migration is not necessary, yours is enough, since you are responsible for the timeliness of his registration.
Step 2
With the necessary documents, contact the territorial division of the FMS serving your registration address, or by mail. There can be queues both there and there, and you will have to spend a little money for postal services, while you don't have to pay anything when contacting the FMS.
It is not necessary to be a homeowner. Anyone who is permanently registered at your address can register a foreigner for migration, the consent of the rest of the residents is not required.
But if you are the owner of a home in which you are not registered, and you register a foreigner in it, you will need a document on the right to property.
Step 3
At the post office or at the FMS department, you will be given a notification form that you must fill out. In it you need to enter the address at which you put your guest or lodger on migration registration, and personal and passport data - yours and the foreigner, as well as information from his migration card.
Employees of the Federal Migration Service or the post office will put a mark on the migration registration on the migration card (this is a notification procedure, refusal is possible only if an incomplete set of documents is provided or there is no evidence of your right to dispose of housing (permanent registration in it or a document of ownership).
Step 4
After that, you can return to your guest or tenant his passport and migration card with a mark on migration registration. With them, he can fearlessly walk around the capital and leave the country in due time for up to 90 days. There will be no grounds for claims against him from the police and border guards.
