According to Russian law, each person must be registered at one or another address. This rule is especially strictly observed in Moscow, where it is very difficult to get a job without a city or regional registration. How can you register in this city?

It is necessary

  • - passport;
  • - permission from the owner;
  • - agreement on the use of housing;
  • - lease contract;
  • - certificate of ownership.

Instructions

Step 1

Decide which registration you need - permanent or temporary. Both give the right to stay and work in Moscow, and a temporary one can be issued without losing a residence permit in another region, if you have one. If you rent a house, the second option is more realistic for you - the owner is unlikely to agree to register you in his apartment on a permanent basis.

Step 2

Collect the required documents. You will need to secure the written consent of the owner, and for temporary registration in a communal apartment - all roommates. Also, if you are applying for a permanent residence permit, in Moscow you will need to draw up an agreement on the use of housing. It does not have to be certified by a notary; the signatures of the people between whom the agreement is concluded is sufficient. If you already have a lease, then it will be enough. A new agreement is necessary if, for example, you live with friends for free. Take a copy of the apartment title deed and add it to the existing documents.

Step 3

Visit your local department of the Federal Migration Service or the Unified Clearing House. Submit all documents and fill out a special application for temporary or permanent registration. Pay the appropriate government fee and leave your passport there for the registration stamp.

Step 4

After the period indicated to you, pick up your passport from a government institution. You will be deemed to be officially registered at the selected address. If you have issued a temporary registration, then you will need to renew it after each expiration.
