Unlike a navigator, mechanic, captain, first mate and other maritime specialties, it is not so difficult to get a job as a sailor, because there are fewer requirements for applicants for this position. You need to finish a naval school or college, have good health, a sailor's passport and a visa. The last two documents are processed by a crewing company that specializes in the selection and dispatch of seafarers to ships of foreign shipowners. This is what you should turn to. Usually the offices of these companies are concentrated in port cities.

To confirm your qualifications for the interview, take with you a document of graduation from a nautical school or college (sailor), the institute of the fishing industry or the merchant marine. Many crewing companies send job seekers to their training centers for the position of a sailor. There they can get their hands on teaching aids for free and prepare for aptitude testing, and then undergo practice on the courts.

If you don't have any marine specialty, it doesn't matter. You can get a job as a fish processor on domestic ships. But this is a very hard and exhausting job. Therefore, it is better to complete all the same special courses and get the profession of a sailor, cook or steward. However, such courses are usually paid.
