Step 1
Collect all legal documents, for which you contact the state justice authorities, where you show your passport and draw up an application, on the basis of which you must be provided with an extract from the register of property rights. If you want to restore your rights to own real estate, then title documents can be omitted. To do this, ask the justice authorities for an extended extract from the USRR, which will contain a list of such documents.
Step 2
If you are going to file a claim for other forms of ownership, then title deeds are required. Contact a notary to give you certified documents and extracts from contracts and acts confirming the conclusion of the transaction, as a result of which you became the owner of the misappropriated property. The notary will also help you in the event that you file a lawsuit in an inheritance case under the law to challenge a will or in the event of unlawful seizure of the property of the testator by other persons.

Contact your local government, where copies of contracts and acts may also be kept, in which your right to own property is recorded.
Step 4
If you owned the property by a court order, go to the court where the proceedings took place and get an extract from the court decisions.
Step 5
If in the authorities responsible for the execution of documents, you did not find evidence of your right to property, make a request through a notary to the city or regional archive to obtain their duplicates.
Step 6
As a last resort, use the testimony of witnesses in court proceedings, which can confirm that you are the owner of the misappropriated property.
