Service in the army on a contract basis is most often carried out for a long period. But even after its completion, you can, under certain conditions, return to the service, guided by some laws.

Step 1
Check out the procedure for entering contract service for reserve officers, which is set out in the Order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation under number 350 of September 30, 2002. In accordance with it, you can return to service in the military forces immediately after the conclusion of a new military contract. At the same time, it is important that the soldier completes the previous term of service under the contract without violating the military regulations, and the reason for dismissal was not a serious misconduct. Also, a reserve officer wishing to return to service should not be registered with law enforcement agencies and be officially employed.
Step 2
Determine if you are the right age for further military service. There is an age limit for military service depending on the military units and officer rank. Upon reaching it, a soldier is subject to dismissal for seniority and is not allowed to continue to serve. For most ranks, there is an age limit for service of up to 50-60 years.
Step 3
If you meet the requirements set out in the legislation, contact the military commissariat at your place of residence and find out if there is currently an opportunity to get a contract service in one or another military unit. If the answer is yes, you will be directed to undergo a medical examination, based on the results of which you will be informed whether you are fit for military service for health reasons.
Step 4
Get a military service contract. Please read all of its terms carefully and determine if the offered terms are right for you. To comply with the legality of concluding a contract, be guided by the current Regulation on the procedure for performing military service and the form of drawing up a contract, which acts as an annex to this legislative act.
