Pension payments are the main funds paid to citizens who, for certain reasons, cannot work or have reached retirement age. On 01.01.2010, Law No. 173-FZ “On Labor Pensions in the Russian Federation” was adopted, which made changes to the process of calculating pensions.

Instructions
Step 1
Determine the basic part of the labor pension, which is a fixed basic amount. It depends on the type of pension and the category of the citizen.
Step 2
Determine the amount of pension, which is calculated from the estimated pension capital and consists of three points:
- part of the pension capital, depending on the total length of service before January 1, 2002 and the ratio of the average monthly earnings of a pensioner to the average monthly earnings in the country in the same period;
- the amount of insurance premiums paid by the employer for the pensioner after January 1, 2002, if any;
- the sum of the valorization of the pension if the pensioner has work experience before January 1, 1991.
Step 3
Calculate the total pension by adding the base and estimated parts of it.
