To calculate the term of the decree, the decree must be divided into three parts. The first part is maternity leave, the second part is parental leave for a child up to one and a half years old, and the third part is parental leave for a child up to three years old.

Step 1
First you need to clarify the duration of pregnancy in the antenatal clinic. This is done at the first scheduled ultrasound, which you will be asked to do at the 11th or 12th week of pregnancy. The doctor will determine the maturity of the fetus and tell you exactly how long your pregnancy lasts. Based on this, count down 30 weeks. Maternity leave starts from the first day of the 31st week.
Step 2
Next, we count down 140 days from the date of the maternity leave. This is the period that is paid in a single amount. You are obliged to pay it within 10 days after you attached a certificate issued in the consultation that you are 30 weeks pregnant with your written vacation application.
Step 3
Further, from the 141st day, leave to care for a child up to one and a half years begins. You count one and a half years from the date of birth. You can go on parental leave up to three years old, but this leave will no longer be paid. So, the decree starts at 31 weeks of pregnancy. It ends when the child is one and a half or three years old, at your discretion. If you have a vacation that you haven't taken yet this year, take it starting at week 27. It is better to spend the third trimester in a calm home environment, because the labor that has begun will not be stopped already from the 28th week. Take care of yourself and your baby. All the time while you are on maternity leave, you have a full-fledged work experience.
Step 4
Next, consider the situation if you leave the decree on maternity leave. In this case, your first maternity leave ends on the 31st week of your new pregnancy. When calculating the allowance, you can choose the amount that is more convenient for you to receive, this is the payment of maternity leave, which has just begun, or you will continue to pay for parental leave.
