To travel abroad, a citizen of Ukraine needs a passport. However, its registration can take a lot of time and effort. In addition, significant financial investments may be required.

Instructions
Step 1
Contact the OVIR at the address: Kharkiv, Prospect Pravdy, 5. There you can issue a passport regardless of the place of your registration (registration). Reception time from 10-00 to 18-00.
Step 2
Prepare the following package of documents: the original and 2 copies of the passport of a citizen of Ukraine, originals and copies of the identification code, birth certificate, certificate of change of surname, name, patronymic. If the passport is issued by a man under 25 years of age, you will need a military ID and a certificate from the military registration and enlistment office stating that he does not object to the issuance of a passport. In the case when it is necessary to include information about children over 5 years old in the passport, additionally provide the original and a copy of the child's birth certificate, as well as 2 photographs of him measuring 2.5 x 3.5 cm.
Step 3
Take a picture with your passport. This can be done right at the OVIR office before submitting the documents. The size of a color photograph is 3, 5 x 4, 5 cm. The image on the photograph should be clear. It is not allowed to be photographed in outer clothing and headwear. If a person constantly wears glasses, then he should be in them in the photo.
Step 4
Pay the costs associated with obtaining a passport. They include: a state duty in the amount of 170 hryvnia (340 hryvnia when making a passport in 10 days), a fee for the provision of services related to issuing a passport in the amount of 87 hryvnia 15 kopecks (174 hryvnia 30 kopecks with an accelerated passport issuance), the cost of a foreign passport blank, which is 120 hryvnia. Add here the bank's commission for making payments (within 50 hryvnia). Having in hand the receipt of payment, give the entire collected package of documents to the OVIR employee for issuing a passport.
Step 5
Wait for your passport to be ready. The standard period for making a passport is 1 month. You can issue a passport in 10 days, but in this case it will cost more. In urgent situations (urgent treatment abroad, death of a close relative), a passport can be prepared in 3 days. When leaving for a permanent place of residence or emigration abroad, be prepared for the fact that obtaining a passport may take 3 months. You can find out about the readiness of the passport on the Internet on a special website. Having received your passport, remember that it is valid for 10 years. After that, you need to issue a new one.
