The main features of a legal entity are: compulsory state registration, the presence of constituent documents, charter and the operation of the organization in the legal field. A legal entity is an organization that has in its jurisdiction or management a separate property, which is obliged to answer with this property for its obligations.

Legal entities are controlled by government agencies. Any organization is obliged to keep accounting records, have a legal address and is subject to supervision in the field of labor legislation, fire, sanitary-epidemiological and other safety.

According to the legislation, a legal entity must draw up an organizational space, which consists in: the creation of structures and divisions, the approval of constituent documents and documents regulating the work of the organization, the obligatory presence of governing bodies.

An important point is the legal address of the organization. In fact, the address of the location of the enterprise is the address indicated in the certificate of state registration. However, quite often the actual location does not correspond to the address indicated in this document. Therefore, together with the term "legal address", it is customary to mention the "actual address" in the details of a legal entity. The indication of this address in the documents is necessary in order to be able to carry out official correspondence with the bodies of control and supervision over the activities of enterprises.

Legal entities are divided into commercial and non-commercial. In their activities, they are obliged to be guided only by those types that are indicated in the charter or other constituent documents. It is legally determined that statutory documents must be located at the location of the executive body of a legal entity. The supervisory authorities have the right at any time to demand the presentation of statutory documents to the address of the location of the executive body.
