In order to fully use a hunting rifle, you must first obtain a license to purchase it, and then to store and carry it. However, you shouldn't have any difficulties if you fill out all the documents correctly and on time.
Instructions
Step 1
Before buying a weapon, purchase a safe to store it. This is one of the prerequisites for issuing a license to acquire weapons. The safe can be bought at the hunting store.
Step 2
Collect all the necessary documents in order to obtain a license for the acquisition of weapons, and subsequently for its storage and carrying, namely: - a certified copy of the passport; - a certificate from the district police officer on the absence of a criminal record; - 2 photographs 3 × 4 (for an application form and a card -permissions); - a hunting ticket (preferably, since otherwise you may not be issued a license to store and carry a hunting rifle); - a medical certificate (form 046-1). Please note: by order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation No. 1017 of 2003-24-12 the provision of separate certificates from neuropsychiatric and narcological dispensaries to the inspector of the licensing authority was canceled.
Step 3
Contact the FRR at your local police department and submit documents for a weapons acquisition license with your application. You will receive it within a month, if all your documents are in order. With this license, you can already go to the hunting store and purchase a gun. After that, within 2 weeks from the date of purchase of the gun, you will again have to apply to the FRR in order to obtain a permit card for storing and carrying weapons, handing it over to the licensing authority for the time it is being processed. The permit card is issued for 5 years. After this period, you will be required to re-register the weapon.
Step 4
The weapon you inherited is drawn up in the same manner upon presentation of a certificate from a notary.
Step 5
If you purchase a weapon from your hands, check the documents for it from the former owner, and only after that contact the FRR for a license to purchase. Obtain from the former owner the original license for storing and carrying weapons and an application to reissue it to you, or contact the licensing authority together with the seller.
