According to the legislation of the Russian Federation, both citizens of our country and stateless persons and foreign citizens have the right to receive unpaid medical services. The main document confirming the participation of the insured person in the health insurance system is the medical insurance policy. Currently, its registration is carried out exclusively in the offices of the CHI fund for all categories of citizens, including those who are not working.

Instructions

Step 1

To obtain a medical insurance policy, a non-working citizen needs to carry out several simple procedures: first of all, it is necessary to contact the branch of the territorial CHI fund and fill out an application for obtaining or replacing a medical insurance policy.

Step 2

Obtain a temporary certificate, which confirms the registration of the policy and allows a citizen to receive free medical services provided for by the compulsory medical insurance program. The validity period of such a certificate is 30 working days. During this time, the personal data of the applicant is processed and a permanent policy is printed.

Step 3

Find out about the readiness of a permanent policy by phone or e-mail (in some cases, the readiness is reported by the company's employees by the contact phone number left).

Step 4

As soon as the policy is ready, get it at the office of the insurance company.

Step 5

Documents required to obtain a new type of medical insurance policy:

- for a citizen of the Russian Federation aged 14 and over, it is enough to have a passport (or temporary identity card) with permanent or temporary registration at the place of residence, as well as (if any) a pension insurance certificate;

- foreign citizens must provide a passport with a note on a temporary residence permit and registration at the place of residence (or a passport with a residence permit) and an insurance certificate of compulsory pension insurance, if any;

- stateless persons can provide an identity document with a note on a temporary residence permit and registration at the place of residence and an insurance certificate of compulsory pension insurance, if any;

- children under 14 years old must provide a birth certificate, a passport of a legal representative and an insurance certificate of compulsory pension insurance, if any;

- persons falling under the category of refugees provide a refugee certificate. If it is not there, then you need to present a certificate of consideration of an application for recognition as a refugee or a certificate from the Federal Migration Service on the acceptance of a complaint against a decision to revoke refugee status.
