Determination of the fire-technical minimum

A fire-technical minimum is understood as a certain stock of basic knowledge on fire-prevention instructions for employees of Russian enterprises. Any worker in production is obliged to undergo familiarization with the basic rules of fire safety. The head of the enterprise usually conducts such instruction for the employee even during the internship. Knowledge of the fire-technical minimum can be taught both at a specially allotted time, and without interrupting work. It depends on the specifics of the trainee's profession.

An ordinary employee is taught how to vacate the premises in the shortest possible way without panic, being in different parts of the building. Evacuation plans are discussed in detail. Exercises are conducted, within the framework of which points of possible ignition, smoke zones and fire movements are indicated. All employees should know where the extinguishers are located and be able to use them.

The fire safety standards during off-hours are introduced to such workers who are responsible for fire-prevention measures at work. Classes are held in institutions directly involved in the training of fire-technical personnel. For example, in the training center of the Federal Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.

Upon completion of training, a corresponding certificate of completion of the course is issued. Everyone who is not personally responsible for the fire safety of the organization is trained on the job. The fire safety minimum is taught to them by the person responsible for fire safety at the enterprise or the head of the organization.

Does the manager have to pass the fire-technical minimum?

Training of employees of the organization in the fire-technical minimum is the responsibility of the head. He draws up a training schedule and forms a list of course participants. As a rule, in small organizations such classes are conducted by the leader himself. In a large enterprise, this is done by a specially appointed person who is responsible for fire safety at work. In any case, the lecturer must take a similar course himself and have a certificate confirming his knowledge.

Training in the fire-technical minimum is a prerequisite for hiring if the position is somehow associated with responsibility for firefighting measures. According to Russian legislation, employees must undergo fire safety techniques every year if their specialty is associated with an explosion-fire hazardous production. At other enterprises, however, workers are entitled to be briefed once every three years. Thanks to the knowledge gained, each employee will be able to prevent the occurrence of a fire hazard and, if necessary, eliminate the cause. Ignorance of the basic rules of conduct in case of a fire will lead to general panic and victims that can be avoided.
